Schedule an ad to start and end
Ads can go live and expire on their own, so a campaign needs no one to switch it on or off.
Start on a date
An ad starts when it is published. To start later, use the normal WordPress scheduling on the ad’s edit screen:
- Open the ad. Look at the Publish box on the right.
- Change the date. Click Edit next to Publish immediately and choose a future date and time.
- Schedule it. The button changes to Schedule. Click it.
End on a date
The expiry sits in the same Publish box, on the line below the publish date.
- Open the expiry. Next to Expiry, which says Never until you set one, click Edit.
- Pick the date and time. Choose the month, day, year, hour and minute, then click OK.
- Save the ad. Click Update (or Publish).
When the expiry passes, the ad stops showing everywhere it was placed, including shortcodes and groups. To remove an expiry, click Edit and then Clear Expiry. An ad with no expiry runs until you unpublish it.
Timezone
Both times use your WordPress site timezone, which you can check under Settings → General. Set it to your city, not to a UTC offset, so daylight saving changes are handled.
An expired ad is hidden, not deleted. Its views and clicks stay in the Analytics box, so you can review a finished campaign later.
If a scheduled ad does not appear when you expect, check the timezone first, then read My ad is not showing.
