City cards
Each card on the left shows the city and its flag, the UTC offset and time zone abbreviation (for example UTC+5:45 · GMT+5:45), the local time at the chosen moment and the local date. The date can differ from city to city, because the same moment can be tomorrow in one place and yesterday in another.
Hour boxes
Each row on the right is one city’s day, hour by hour. The colors are explained in the legend above the cards:
- Red: working hours, roughly 9 to 5.
- Grey: early or late, the hours just outside the working day.
- Dark: asleep, the night hours.
The vertical line
The line runs through every row at the same moment. Move it to compare cities. When it passes midnight in a city, the row shows both dates, such as TUE SEP 29 and WED SEP 30, so you can see where one day ends and the next begins.
Setting the time
- Click or drag along any row to move the line.
- Use the date and time box to choose an exact day and time.
- Click Set to Now to go back to the current time.
To find a time that suits everyone, look for a position where every row is red. See Plan a weekly meeting across time zones.
