Holidays and weekends on the timeline

Updated

The timeline warns you when a day is a day off in one of your cities.

On the timeline

For each city, the hour labels of a day turn red when that day is a public holiday, a major festival or the country’s weekend. A small party badge sits next to the date label. A named holiday or festival shows its name in place of the plain word “Weekend”. Only the day that is a holiday is marked. The other day in the same row is left as it is.

The notice bar

When any of your cities has a holiday or festival on its current local date, a thin bar appears above the cities. It shows one line, for example the date, the country and the holiday name. Click it to open the full list. Cities in the same country with the same holiday share one line. The bar does not list ordinary weekends.

Good to know

  • Weekends follow each country’s own working week, so they are not always Saturday and Sunday.
  • The holiday list covers public holidays and major festivals, not every local or regional observance.
  • If a holiday in your region is missing or wrong, let us know with the country and the date.
