Choose the right QR code type
The generator has three tabs.
| Tab | Use it for | When scanned |
|---|---|---|
| Text / URL | A web address or any short text | The phone opens the link, or shows the text |
| Wi-Fi | Letting guests join your network | The phone offers to join the network |
| Contact | Your details as a contact card (vCard) | The phone offers to save a new contact |
Static codes
These are static QR codes. What you type is stored inside the code itself, so:
- The code never expires and works without our website.
- It cannot be edited later. If a link changes, make a new code.
- There are no scan counts or statistics.
Nothing you enter is saved or sent to a server. It is all done in your browser.
Which one?
- A website, a menu or a form: Text / URL.
- A cafe, office or home network: Make a Wi-Fi QR code.
- A business card: Make a contact QR code.
