Are my images uploaded? What is removed?

Are my images uploaded?

No. Every image is compressed, converted, resized or edited on your own device, and it never leaves it. There is no upload and no server involved in processing your pictures.

The website itself uses Google Analytics to count page views and how far people scroll. That never includes your images.

What changes in the picture?

Every result is re-encoded from the pixels, which means:

• Location and camera data are removed. A photo does not show where it was taken.
• The orientation is applied, so a photo taken sideways comes out the right way up.
• Colors are converted to sRGB, which looks right on almost every screen.
• Transparency is kept for PNG, WebP and AVIF, and painted white for JPG.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many images you process.
